In the Grimm’s fairy tale “Rumpelstiltskin,” a miller boasts that his daughter can spin straw into gold, leading the king to imprison her and demand she prove it. A mysterious little man, Rumpelstiltskin, helps her in exchange for her necklace, then her ring, and finally her firstborn child.
When the queen has a child, Rumpelstiltskin demands the child, but she bargains for time to guess his name. After a servant overhears Rumpelstiltskin singing his name, the queen correctly guesses it, and the enraged Rumpelstiltskin gets upset!!
